It's a bit confusing or misleading as the assembled car that is shown is not what is being sold. It's either a parts car or whatever is left of the assembled car. As for rare, I've only ever seen one or two of them and only in photos and the same with the Custom Eight long wheelbase sedans and limousines. There was one for sale not long ago just a few miles from my Oregon shop but I forced myself to not attend the sale or I might own it now!

The ad is written in French and I guess I missed the "sans mechanique" part which translates to "without mechanicals". If the engine and trans is missing, it is obviously a big deal but the upside here is that the seller doesn't want very much money for the car, it is doable and it is a really rare model. I have always really liked the bathtub club sedans and did one own one; a 22nd series Super Eight. But it was pretty ragged abd I eventually sold it. In this case, you would definitely need to contact the owner to find out what is included and what's missing. You might also need someone fluent in French. I took French in high school, but that was over 50 years ago and I've unfortunately forgotten most of it. My thought is that the picture of the car with the flamed hood is just an older photo taken before it was disassembled.

Don't know what a 'nono' means, but my guess is that it's not nice.

In the Romance languages generally, there are a number of words that are similar in English but are not differentiated. For example in Spanish and French, depending on context, safe = secure, mechanic = mechanical, etc. So Google Translate made a small mistake in that it should have said “mechanicals”.

And “nonos” means like “morons”.
