was reading about your compression test. A compression test should be done on a warm engine, all spark plugs out,throttle blocked open. the formula is compression ration times atmosphereic pressure at your elevation above sea level. you can find compression ratio in your owners manual, a shop manual or a motors manual if you have any of these.

That just means the line is longer that it appears in the diagram.
