All I can say is W.O.W
I followed this years ago, always wondered.

Future of this? I've got a great idea....what a great stablemate for The Jackard!
And for the rest of us wondering, please give some idea of price...we respect the countless hour$ invested.

The 356 SOHC Packard project has stalled. My father has dementia and with that it will see a new home. Motor is installed, backed by a new Tremec five speed. This is quite the unusual project. PM with any inquiries. Thanks. Ed.

I am sorry to hear that. In regards to finding a new home, to be honest I haven't the slightest clue what this is, so you may want to post some more about it, to get some interest going.

Thanks for the feedback. A lengthy blog was started by my father some years ago: link to it from page 1 of this thead below-

rlg0613.wordpress.com/science-project-blog/?order=asc

The overview is as follows:

A custom cylinder head was fabricated from 2 Jeep 4.7 SOHC heads. Cam drive and all related components custom fabricated. Custom intake and exhaust. Custom pistons. Tremec five speed adapted to the engine via a Lakewood scattershield. Front of the car extended to accomdate the 356 (frame/fenders/hood). Body is 1937 or 38 I believe. Stock suspension, brakes and rear axle. The motor has 3 hours run time on it (not all in one event, most prior to chassis install).

It's a unique build (an understatement..). It was a complete car to start with. Does come with all new glass. Beyond all this, am not able to better advise off the top of my head. Thanks.

Very interesting, I will have to give it a read.

Clearly there has been an extensive amount of effort and money spent getting it to this point. Having said that there is much still to do. The family is objective in that things like this are done out of desire, not investment. However, we’d like to determine a fair deal for all parties. What that is – we are not sure of at this time. Feedback welcomed while we think on things. Send me a PM if desired. Thanks!

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.
