How do you like this 1955 Patrician for 40k, with "Extensive meticulous restoration completed . . . No details were overlooked."
facebook.com/marketplace/item/576268111636136 I see overlooked details, what do I do now? ![]()

And how often do people respond positively to your constructive criticism, these days?
![]() I did not even go into the small authenticity details. Just noticed things that should not be on a 40k "meticulous" restoration, such as them oversized worm clamps and a radiator hose sticker right under the clamp... Who would meticulously do something like that? I get it, the guy probably paid someone 40k to do it for him, but that's still quite some puffery, going on, border-lining false advertisement. There is a blue 56 Lincoln for sale, somewhere, by a lady "selling for a friend". The description says "all original, nothing's been modified or restored", and the car is freshly re-painted with some custom pin striping, a modern generator is installed, and all sorts of other usual daily-driver mods. I messaged her, very politely, suggesting that she might want to revise the description; otherwise, it is a bit off-putting. No response, did not revise. Oh well, at least no one told me to do anything naughty ![]()

I can't think of another Patrician that sold anywhere near 40k.

Few more new FB postings.
1956 Clipper Sedan. Unrestored and somewhat deteriorated from outdoor storage but sheet metal and chrome look pretty decent. All glass and trim are intact. Ad states engine is missing but car is otherwise complete. Think this could be an excellent parts car for someone with this model. Asking only $1,000. Concord, NH: facebook.com/marketplace/item/1010007153880561 1940 110 Coupe. Unrestored and partially disassembled. Needs full restoration but sheet metal looks very solid. Car definitely looks doable and would be a great project vehicle. Asking $6K. Illinois. Just posted today. facebook.com/marketplace/item/560366727067931 1955 Patrician. Very rusty and totally trashed. Parts only. Grille and some trim parts look good but don't think you would be able to salvage most of the body panels. All glass intact. Asking $600. Wisconsin: facebook.com/marketplace/item/649772161253993 1939 120 Touring Sedan. Well restored to a high standard. Paint, chrome and interior are excellent. Includes a collection of original literature including owner's manual and shop manuals. Has accessory Deluxe radio and dash clock. Asking $25K. Tennessee: facebook.com/marketplace/item/1483256622633346 1932 Light Eight Convertible Coupe. Old restoration in an incorrect color scheme. See quite a few issues with this car besides the paint job, like the incorrect wire wheels. Light Eights had threaded spoked wheels and the welded spoke wheels on this car were not available until 1933. Am familiar with Light Eights as I once owned one. I think I recognize this car. Around the same time I had my Light Eight Coupe (about 30 years ago), an individual from Connecticut had a Light Eight Convertible Coupe and this one looks exactly how I remember his. We were both in the same car club (Eastern Packard Club) and I used to see him quite frequently at shows and club events. I know that he sold the Packard sometime in the 1990's. If it is the same car, it's got a lot of bondo in it. Seller is asking $154,900 which is a lot of money for one of these. Ohio: facebook.com/marketplace/item/1204635897710349 Three '55-'56 Packard 400's for sale by collector downsizing his collection. All are restored or excellent originals: 1955 - White Jade over Fire Opal (Scheme MH) 1956 - Roman Copper (I think) (Scheme S) 1956 - Dover White over Scottish Heather with bottom section in Maltese Grey Metallic (Scheme MKN). Rare three tone combo and this car looks really original. No sure what seller is asking, but ad shows asking price of $24,500, so maybe this is per car. He replied to my comments informing me that he dropped the price to 29k. Still too high, but within reason at least.
