I'm looking to get new weather stripping for my 1955 clipper touring sedan but I simply can't afford to go a spend the money Steele or other sites are selling there replacement weather stripping kits for. So I wanted to know if anyone knew of any cheaper budget friendly alternatives that would tie me over till I can work up the money to get proper replacements. So if anyone has any ideas or suggestions I'd love to hear them cause right now my cars interior is completely gutted and floors treated to prevent any further water damage

There is all manner of self stick universal weatherstrip available that works pretty darned well. Look up "hot rod" weatherstrip, or self-stick weatherstrip. The one I like is hollow and circular in cross section with a flat flange on that bottom that is peel and stick. These come in several different diameters. One about 9/16" diameter works pretty well around 51-56 doors and enables them to close easily. You can find it on Amazon, Summit Racing and more.
