That one's been for sale, for a while. The price might be a bit high. Otherwise, I did not look into it, in detail, because it seems to be more modified than what I am looking for.

That one was literally just for sale weeks ago at 45k and it supposedly sold. Side note, the choice of interior fabric is awful and especially embarrassing considering the original stuff is available from SMS. But even just plain black fabric would have been better.

Not sure if this one was already mentioned:
1956 400 in NY, $100k:facebook.com/marketplace/item/2312773212395855 Absolutely no information provided, and the photos looks to be printed on lustre photo paper. What's the catch? Owned by someone famous? Has 5k miles on odometer? Or a delusional seller?

And here is a "very original" 1955 Clipper, for $35k, with a missing antenna, bad paint, and a very rare hood ventilation system. Bunch of other very original things, all over the place, as well. You can readily tell this is a museum-quality car

It is comforting to see it is redlined at 3000.

Just posted on Facebook Marketplace today. Huge Packard hoard in Ontario Province, Canada (East Hawksbury):
All cars are unrestored and have been in indoor storage for many years. This is listed as a 50-year collection and includes a huge cache of parts collected at Hershey over the years. List of cars: 1932 Twin Six Convertible Sedan, Model No. 905, Body No. 583. Needs full restoration and partially apart but looks intact and complete. ID number on data plate reads 583 16, Delivery date 8 26 32, PMC CO 1932 902 Coupe (5 passenger) 1933 Twelve Sedan (not pictured) 1933 Twelve Limo (not pictured) 1936 Twelve Sedan 7 passenger. Think it is a Model 1408. Rough, needs full restoration. Needs body work, chrome bad and interior in shreds 1956 Caribbean Convertible. Solid unrestored and appears very original. Appears to be Dover White with Holland Blue midsection and Dover White lower section. Not sure if paint is original or not. 1956 Caribbean Convertible. Only part of hood showing in photo, but it appears to be Corsican Black 1956 Caribbean Convertible. Ad mentions third Caribbean, but not pictured Two 1956 Caribbean parts cars (not pictured) Ad states that there are three barns filled with parts and a collection of original sales brochures as well (not pictured) facebook.com/marketplace/item/2513995595621419 Ad is also posted in a restricted access site for Packards on Facebook and contains the following contact information: Seller: Andrew P. Marsh Phone: 514-912-0082 email: andrewwpmarsh@gmail.com Photos are not of good quality and not all cars mentioned in the ad are pictured. And there are no photos posted of the parts cache. But it sounds like this could be one of the biggest Packard barn finds in recent times, so it may be worth checking out if you are so inclined.

Hi Jw4. This appears to be a car hoarding situation instead of a well-maintained collection. There are hoarders and restorers. Restorers have only a few cars and generally finish what they started. Hoarders just buy up a bunch of cars, often in rough condition, and then just sit on them, sometimes for decades. These people usually just buy and never consider selling anything until they after pass, and the then the family puts the cars up for sale to settle the estate. Not sure of what the situation here is, but the ad did describe the collection as a "hoard" and I think this is accurate, based on what I am seeing in the photos. These cars all need a great deal of work, and some may not even be worth trying to restore. But that 1932 Twin Six is definitely worth trying to save, although it would take a staggering amount of money and time to bring this one back. The two Caribbeans pictured do look promising and I would certainly like to see what is in those barn loads of parts. If it were closer, I would like to check out the collection just for the heck of it, but Ontario is quite a ride for me. Maybe someone else on this forum is closer and could go and get some better photos. I'm sure that we would all enjoy that.

packardsix1939, thanks for the information. I am sure there is plenty if useful stuff in there. I suppose, I was just a bit distracted by the terminology of hoard versus a collection. You are right, I've seen hoarders before. Some of them with rather rare and expensive cars sitting in the filed and them crazy hoarders refusing to sell them to anyone for restoration/preservation purposes, just for their own unhealthy reasons.
