Clearly there has been an extensive amount of effort and money spent getting it to this point. Having said that there is much still to do. The family is objective in that things like this are done out of desire, not investment. However, we’d like to determine a fair deal for all parties. What that is – we are not sure of at this time. Feedback welcomed while we think on things. Send me a PM if desired. Thanks!

If you're not having fun, maybe it's your own damned fault.

How the family is going to arrive at a fair market value for a "one-of-one" partially fininshed project is problematic. Obviously, the progenitor put multiples of time and expense more than market value, so sunk costs are moot. Then, finding someone who shares the same dream, has the resources and talent to finish it is again, problematic.
It is to be hoped a good home can be found and that person will share the final lap to completion with us here. jack vines

Thanks Jack: your summation is spot on. Those who know my father, he was quite the talent and he marched to the beat of his own drum. As an example of this is a 1970 Chevelle he built: hemmings.com/stories/go-big-or-go-home-the-675-cu-in-chevelle-sss/ Predecessors to this Chevelle were - A 1983 Chevy Caprice Classic - 2 tone four door - with a crate LS6 454 and Doug Nash 4+1 transmission. Daily driver for many years. Put over 150K miles on the build. A 1966 Plymouth Belvedere II, four door, four speed, 426 Hemi. Ordered new March 22, 1966. He was the first and 5th owner. Stolen in 1980. Had over 180K miles on it at the time it was taken. Likely the highest mileage Hemi car (if that could be validated..). The point of all the above is that this Packard is part of his legacy. It is truly unique and not something being universally popular. Would like to have someone see this through rather than rip the drivetrain out for a rat rod or the like. However, an individual who shares the same vision of the car is not commonplace.
