I appreciate the info guys, I figured it would be a better option to replace them then try to braze/weld the old manifold, just was curious what you guys would do. I wasn't sure on how easy it was to get a set of manifolds that weren't in bad shape. Are the manifolds a pain to get off since they've been on the car for 70 years lol. Looks easy enough to get to the bolts just was hoping they dont snap on me!

On the contrary, the nuts to remove the manifolds are not all easy. There are a few that aren't too bad, but there are several (especially next to the center) that are borderline evil. Tedious at best.

Spray penetrating fluid on all the nuts several times over the course of days. That should help prevent breaking a stud.

You can also soak a rag with Evapo Rust and wrap it around the stud. Leave a few days. That plus oil or heat as needed.
