I'm 6'8" so I can reach it easily as long as the air duct is out of the way. Shorter people may need a stool to lean over the fender. Good news is I see no better way to do it than the advice I already gave. Install it, get the lines in place to set the angle of the V-tee and mark with Sharpie. Remove, tighten the V-tee, then get it back in and connect the lines. The unit and floor plate are to be removed as an assembly. Disconnect the gas pedal, obviously tie the brake pedal out of the way, and pull back the floor carpet from the front left corner to the gas pedal mount. The plate extends slightly under the firewall carpet, but no removal is required. Slide up steering column boot. When done, adhere carpet with landau adhesive.
