On my '54, the clips were rust welded to the doors, so the pull tangs broke off pretty much instantly.
But if you roll the window down all the way and remove the garnish molding, you can see the clip, apply copious penetrator, and tap/push the clip out from the inside with a long flat-bladed screwdriver and a mallet.
