Thanks Riki. I would like to stay original if possible but an alternator is always a backup

Drove Tanner to church today, and my friend parked his '63 Volvo B18 Sport next to me. Pretty cool little car. That engine is tiny.

The badly dented rear bumper was bugging me. Happy sent a sister bumper with the car that he had picked up somewhere. It had the standard bends and dents along the edges, and some minor denting in the middle. But overall was in much better condition.

I was able to get the edges somewhat flat with the help of a vice. Not perfect, but probably acceptable. So I pulled off the old bumper and got to work.

Some of the hardware that can be saved. Many of the bolts are unusable and will be replaced

When I pulled off the rear gravel guard and panel, and the stainless trim above it, I found what I believe may be the original paint. You can clearly see the start difference between the respray and the other color. It also looks like red primer underneath?

Anyone familiar with the original color for Mojave Tan? Does this look like it should?

It's looking good. I have all new 1956 front bumper hardware but not sure what the rear entails although likely many are the same. To get what I needed, I had to buy quantities.

As for the set of 1956 Patrician doors that I have, they appear to be a little lighter in color than yours, more like the hidden area in the last photo. Of course, the slight difference isn't obvious unless comparing side by side.

What i seen on my dads 56 top doors and on back are red oxide.

The front fenders and hood are black primer. Some fenders I've seen black ontop of red oxide.

Red epoxy will go where red is.

Black epoxy the the front,
