Thank you! I was literally on the road with cellular service that was coming on going as I was leaving civilization! I managed to get a message through but haven’t heard back yet.

Update: I bought it! It is the 1954 unit too, not 1953 which is different. It included the A/C type water pump but not much else. He’s keeping the scoops but no problem as I’ve already reproduced those along with the inlet screen although I need to reproduce the rubber seal that goes under them. I also 3D scanned the dash control but haven’t made any although I can do so now that it has been scanned.

Off from the current issue of the engine, one odd thing I noticed on the parts car is that the four or so studs to the right of the thermostat housing are much longer than the others as they would be if the car had factory A/C which it doesn’t. Would it be of any use comparing the engine number with the vehicle number to glean whether or not the engine is original or a later/earlier replacement?

I've got some limited data on 1954 Patricians with both VN and motor numbers, perhaps a half-dozen sets; send me you #s and I see if I can piece anything together for you.

Thank you, Dave! It’s in the Vehicle Registry but I’m not sure if I ever checked the actual engine number or whether I got it from the registration. I THINK I checked it but not sure! The vehicle number is 5452-3350 and the engine number is M603059.

Note that I may be “off the grid” for a while as I’m heading out of the country tomorrow afternoon for a couple weeks.

Perhaps having the body serial number (theft-proof#) would help further an analysis, but the two closest Patricians I have to yours are:

5452-2243 motor #M600283 BSN C61709
5452-2298 motor #M600464 BSN C60116

It’s in the registry as C73212. Apparently both numbers are quite a bit higher than the two you mentioned but I see many other 1954 Patricians in the registry from which to compare.
