Where did you family originate from?

Pat, To be a Canadian these days is to be from anywhere in the world not just Europe. Most immigrants are now coming from East Asia, India, Pakistan although Toronto has resident populations from every country in the world so it is truly cosmopolitan. Rather than being a "melting pot" national policy is to be a multi-cultural country. The old traditional British monarchist/colonialists have pretty much become an extinct species.
As for my Irish extraction. the best anecdotal evidence I have is that the family left Ireland from Donegal.

I'm actually surprised at the quietness of my 32 Packard. hardly a squeek or groan especially since it has never had a body of restoration. It is much quieter than my 64 Bird I jad. The one thing people forget and that these are not brand new cars so they will not be as quiet as the day they were new.

Yes, as long as the structural wood is in good condition, the quietness of these composite wood/steel bodies is really amazing, certainly superior to anything that followed in that regard.

If we are going to descend into personalities. My father was born in Neupekela Groeningen (The Netherlands to you). My mother's people were early Canadian settlers going back 200 years. Mostly Moores, Staples and Fergusons - Holland Dutch,Scotch (not Scottish) Irish and not a drop of English blood. If you can make an Englishman out of that stew you are welcome.

By the way we know what Fenians are around here. They over ran the Canadian border by way of the US in 1866 - and ran back even faster.
