Hardtop.
Do you currently have any Zis staight 8 engines apart??? I would like to know the distance between any two cylinders. Would also like to know the distance between cylinder head stud holes. Are there any WW-II US or Russian army surplus parts that are still stored in the area????

The ZIS-110 engine:I don't have any engines for ZIS-110, these engines here are extremely rare. The last one I saw for sale was 5 year ago and it was not a complete one. The owner asked 500$ for it and it was sold in a week!
The only flatheads I have had to repair are GAZ M20 "Pobeda" and GAZ 51 and 52 engines! If I find any documents where the measurements for the ZIS engine can be found I let everyone know immediately. Im not that kind of a person how deals with Military involved things. There are a lot of WW II and other military related things/objects collectors here. So finding something these days is becoming harder. The "golden days" for collecting migth have been in the 90s.

Guscha: This is the kind of Russian horse power that you should have been using. Also gets good gas mileage.

Good one John
But Guscha may I ask this: Did the engine run smoothly before it stopped? This year my friend had a similar problem with his 1956 Buick Century Riviera. We had no Idea what was going on,we tried everything until we removed the gastank that was full of dirt and screws (a lot of them)!

John,
Like to add my congratulations on your "breaking through" 1,000 posts. Never ceases to amaze me how Gerd keeps coming up with stories, pic's and video's to very vividly illustrate the points he makes.

Awesome materials John, I showed it to my Estonian friends and they loved it. The GAZ M20 will always be something special for me,even if its not comparable to anything at that time. Thank you for posting these materials.
to Guscha, I have seen this movie before, I might have been 8 ore 9 years old at that time. It was nice to remember something I had seen for a long time.
