Oh the humanity........

I recently had this printed large and framed on my garage wall.

Yes the car is a 1929 633

The airship is the Graf Zeppelin, the first one of the two. The LZ127

First flight September 18, 1928
Last flight on June 18, 1937

64 flights made, of which 5 were to the USA

This shot was possibly taken on either 8th or 29th August 1929 at Lakenhurst for the start or finish of the round world tour.

Or it could be October 1933 for the Chicago Worlds Fair, but the car looks a bit too "new" to be 4 years old.

What do you think?

Ken, the gigantic airships always delivered impressing photograph objects, thanks for sharing.

I assume that you rather looking for the year than for the day but my first thought focused on the days dates. The mentioned 8th or 29th August 1929 are possible but the range of possible dates seems to be broader. Just to adduce as an instance photograph #1 could have taken on the 30th of August 1929 at Lakehurst and #2 on the 28th of August 1929 over Chicago as proven by the below shown pic.

That's just the first thought, I hope there's more to come. Again thank you for the pics.

Ken (kts68), just two and a half year later we come closer to the truth. I found a pic on ebay, obviously taken on the same day but not the same time of the day (shadows) and the caption reads "1929".

The picture of the skyline is Chicago. The building that is cut off on the left is the Palmer house/hotel. That picture would have been taken just east of Columbs Dr, faceing westward. It looks like all of the cars were stopped to watch, maybe?
