Thanks for all the suggestions and ideas. I will began to start sorting them out.

-No none of these cars belonged to Judge Shriver. Altought they have all been worked on by Mark Lambert at one time or other. This is a last ditch effort on the V12 before turning it over to Lambert. Packard V8 I think you saw this car on the side of the road after a "vapor lock" attack a couple of months ago.

The kerosene idea is interesting-is there any harm in doing it?

Also check the heat riser on the exhaust manifold. MITE have to tie it open with some bailing wire or coat hanger as a test.

I am not familiar enuf with the V12's. But if it has dual exhaust and one side of the exhaust has any significant leaks/muffler holes or other significant problems that would cause an exhaust flow imbalance from one side to the other then that could also cause the vapour lock.

I'll send u a Private Message thru this website with my phone and email address. If u can't get it fixed let me know. I'll take a look at it and try to do some preliminary diagnosis. No charge. I won't do any actual work on it especialy if it is show quality car. I just like to look at cars, especialy preway and visit for maybe an hour and maybe help u figure out the problem.

V 12's have single exhaust and do not have a heat riser valve
