In Germany here I take the 'airplane' Ornament off of my 53 clipper for The inspection. Then I just put it back on afterwards!

They have Packard hood ornament restrictions in Germany too? They call that inspector an ornament Nazi no doubt! Wow! As I said before, God Bless America!

If it happens here in the US we can just paint an American flag on the wings and accuse the inspector of anti-patriotism if he complains of the hood ornament. Not that it will do any good but worth a try.
