Check out E-Bay item number 251041107527. It is listed as 1950 Oldsmobile
ZIS 150. To me it looks like a Packard and engine looks to be a Packard 356c.i.

I think we may know that car from when it made a stop in New Jersey a few years ago, enroute to a buyer in Europe. See pictures and comments at
packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb ... lat&order=ASC&type=&mode=0&start=70

The engine is (or was as the time) a genuine ZIS, not a Packard 356.

Frank (dallas), good eye and as Dave already said, it is a ZIS.

Dave, it isn't the very New Jersey car but very similar. This convertible has been offered for many years many times , sometimes for $300,000 and sometimes for $1,500,000.

"...All documents in addition to admission are available at that time and have no doubt Stalin from the first owner..."

I have seen the falsified documents but apart from that try to find a pictuture that shows Moscows most photographed man from that era parading in such a car. There are no trees on the Red Square; 360-degree free visual axes! Unless I'm very much mistaken then a vendor would use at least one promotionally effective photo that shows uncle Joe in his car.

"...The driving behavior is consistent with the then state of the art and is also suitable for today's traffic situations. One could also safely use as a daily driver..."

If a 20 feet long car (19 feet 7 inches to be exact) without power brake and power steering but with unsynchronized gearbox (manual to shift with double clutch) is suitable for today's traffic and your brother is owner of a mineral oil group, then yes.

"...the most powerful 8 Cylinder engine that was used in America in the 40s..."

A ZIS engine has 140 hp.

"...car was professionally restored..." - picture attached

Oh, dear not this ZIS again...
Not only the "fishy" paper work that dose not proof anything.
I also see some other oddities in the restoration.
1.Carpet, looks era correct but on closer inspection looks a 1970-1980 after market product. ZIS carpets where and are from a different material.
2. Decals are missing from the air cleaner.
3. Cooling hose is modern and the clamp also.
4. Electric wiers+ spark plug wiers are from the 1980s after market products.
5. Spark plug attaches are from 1970s, if the car is really from the 1950, then it should have this kind of spark plug attaches.
