The drum headlights where gone in 1929 with the 6th series. Not sure what year car this?

This phots confirms at least two items of authenticity I have been trying to research before my chrome and pin stripping is completed on my 1929. First, the headlight support bar is not chromed on the ends where it is attached to the fenders. Chrome is only on the center section. My unmolested extra parts car is so far gone but conforms this, though I can barley make out flex of chrome on the center section.

Second, the the hood louvers show the "design/layout" of the pin stripping. Looks like two stripes around the entire edge.

My dealer handbook entitled, "Packard Custom eight Facts 640" (56 fine print pages!) states- "Louvers edged with 3/32" strip."

Always looking for more original informations and photos of 1929 especially 640 models.

A Series 640 August 1928 to August 1929.

A 640 the car next to it a 1929 Cadillac Convertible Coupe with a set of nice Buffalo wire wheels.
