According to the A.E.A. Universal Catalog of O.E.M. parts, the 1940 "110" should have an Auto-Lite IGC-4505 or a Delco 1110092.
There are some NAPA vintage car charts already on this site which you can check for more recent part numbers but in the end you'll have to ask the NAPA counterman to check for you. Original Auto-Lite service parts were: Breaker point set: IGP 3028FS Contact arm: IGP 3028 Contact point: IGC 1149 Cap: IGC 1107S Rotor: IGS 1016B Vacuum chamber: VC 3060 KS Ignition coil: CE 4644 or CE 4652 Service coil: CE 3224VS for CE 4644 CE 3224 US for CE 4652 IGW series was used in Studebaker and Willys in the 30s but I do have an old Standard catalog that shows IGW in 1940 Packard. Perhaps you should consult the Packard parts book to see what they say.

Added a bit more info to the prior post.
Packard parts manual confirms the A.E.A. numbers for Delco and Auto-Lite. The 1939 "Six" used an IGC 4505, or an IGW 4143.

My info for the 1940 six shows Autolite dist numbers IGW-4143, IGW-4143A & IGC-4503. There was no vacuum advance used on the 1940 I believe. Old Eclin NAPA part numbers for the Autolite are ignition points CS-9, condenser AL-88/AL-71, cap AL-59, rotor AL-58.

I was looking at the wrong column the other day, here's the data on the 1940 "110" from the A.E.A. OEM Supplier catalog.

Dave,
I'm really confused now. The distributor is an A-L IGC 4503, The cap is an A-L IGC 1107. Ny Napa guy orders a AL-59 cap based on this info. This cap is much smaller than the original. Your thoughts............

You'll have to get an answer from JT120, he came up with the replacement cap #.
PS - my reference doesn't cover 1940 but shows 1939 Six calls for an AL-99 cap.

Apparently something has changed with the Napa cross reference. I gave my Napa guy the dist part number and he also came back with AL-59.
Definitely the wrong cap................
