There are no dumb questions. After all, these cars are all now 60+ years old but fortunately interest in, knowledge of and parts support for remains at a high level. Ask any and all questions that arise, but do a search first which because so many problems have been encountered by others on the same issues, will frequently produce instant answers to the problem at hand.

To document your progress and share it with all of us, please start a project blog in that section. Not only does it make it easier to post your questions but also to find the answers later for reference. Of course, we all like to see how things are progressing too. Check out the other ongoing Project Blogs for ideas as well.

Looks as if you've acquired a very good '54 Patrician to start your restoration. It is a very choice model, the highest development of the postwar straight eight. Good luck as you make progress.

Dears,

Car has been returned from sandblasting and some areas with unexpected rust came to light.

The rear fender lower section has been badly repaired and more rust appeared > to not spend houndreds of hours rust repairing I would like to buy a repair panel from the side molding downwards > unfortunately Kanter doesn't have any repair panel available.

Do you have an idea where to find?

Love the 2 tone gray combination. About the only place I knw of for replacement body panels is Classic to Current. They have a website.

c2cfabrication.com Classic2Current has floor pans and a few fender pieces but not sure if they have anything for the rear quarter that far back. As far as I know they would be the only ones making anything for a Packard but their items are not drop in perfect replacements. Anything they will have will need work to fit but if nothing available from them it would be finding a parts car or making your own repair panel.

Looks like the repairs were done a while back, they all look to be brazed in, instead of welded. Brazing isn't quite as common anymore.

Long time ago since the last post. Unfotunately it was very hard to find a auto body specialist. But surprisingly after 2 year waiting I found one just nearby. So in about 2 month the body should be in a perfect shape😊
