Perhaps this travesty was perpetuated by an Andy Warhol enthusiast....

I have a friend who will be restoring a 39 soon, I'll suggest this as a possible color. I think I know where i'll be told to go! So why hasn't anyone bid on it yet? It'd make a great addition to any MAN'S garage

I think it needs grape colored flames to match the interior and purple LED lighting in the wheel wells and under the running boards to really justify the $22,000.

Odd how they call replacement of the powertrain "an upgrade". For most of the rods I see, they're stuffed with used Chevy parts plastered with lots of chrome, all depressingly uninteresting.

But I have to remind myself, rods aren't about the car, they're about the owner. They are a 'vehicle' (pun intended) for the owner to be thought of as COOL.

Guess you can tell I'm not big on rods. Dislike seeing the original identity and context of the car obliterated for trivial purposes.
