Right! A Hickok 539C to be precise. And a Tektronix 533 series scope full of about 40 6DJ8 Amperex tubes for analyzing those errant waveforms.

I heard that Packard is having a hard time getting the supplier of the linkage as they have moved to India or some other off shore location. To get washers made in the USA is proving rather difficult. The problem that most are having calling the dealers or factory are the old phone numbers do not have a area code and usually limited to fewer numbers than currently used.
I have forwarded the clip to some friends all who think it is very funny and entertaining

To get the Factory on the line, you have to use a really old phone. These new modern phones just wont do the job!

Kev

Don't call during a rainstorm, those old switchboards send a sharp nip back through to the operator. I think a requirement is that they have personalities that are "grounded"

Ask me how I know...

Don't worry. Packard has their best trouble shooter on it.

Did this apply to 55 clippers as well? I am becoming increasingly worried... I have yet to find the black box but I believe its wired to the generator. I cant seem to drive my car twenty feet without the secondaries opening up? Should I have the computer reflashed?

Guys

It's really a 'black hole box", that's why you can't find it. It's the same part that sucks the contents out of your wallet....
