I want it! I think I can save it. Just don't tell my wife. There really is a part in one of the pictures that I need. Packardtaximan

Taximan, You're the guy I had in mind. L&L has a web site but I'll warn you nothing is cheap. That being said, you'll find the car sitting next to a 55 Hudson Hornet with factory A/C. Sorry, someone already got the drive train and assorted good stuff off the Hudson. The Clipper is missing the chassis and is just as bad as it looks. When I get home I'll post some more pictures of other treasures.

If it burns fuel and makes noise. I want to see it.

A couple more shots of the Clipper. Plus a view of part of the yard. 120+ acres of high desert storage.

Al, Thanks for the additional pictures. I contacted L&L about a part from the clipper taxi. Waiting to hear back. I wish they were closer. Thanks again

Here is a challenge to all viewers, especially Ross and Howard. Who can spot another item used on the taxies?

One thing I see is the center panel & dash switch arrangement is slightly different. Can't say if it's the center piece used with crash pads though -- having never seen one. To the taxi application, believe the second switch says roof lite. Can't make out the third switch as to whether it's one of the standard car functions or not.

The other obvious thing different on the dash is the choke cable but I think that is aftermarket. If it is, sure was more professionally done than the maybe starter button on it's left.

If the thing you have in mind is a subtle piece of chrome only used on the taxis, others will have to step up.
