The "Egyptian" is indeed very uncommon, I've only seen a handful in 50+ years of looking at Packards.

I think that the Egyptian is scarce? - And very good looking, If you can find a good one, not many cars seem to have them, none in Africa at least.

Good luck, and a pretty car! Love the color!

Barrie, thanks for the complement on the car. I will try each hood ornament configuration and finally settle on one, don't know which one yet.

O_D, is there a different 'goddess of speed' for the 22 and 23 series cars? I have only seen those like mine, which I think looks kinda like an Egyptian.

The cormorant perched on top of the Clipper Bullet is hideous enough, but everytime I see the 22nd and later series cormorant I am reminded of how popular it was on the hoods of cars in the New York Metropolitan area slums.

The drug dealers really loved those things. The Cadillac goddess was second.

Later they started putting gold crowns on the dashboard instead.

Tim, I take it you'd prefer the 'stylized' Goddess?

Sounds like Timmy needs a nap and needs to learn how to play nice.
I'd start by reading Big Kev's motto.

I don't know - Tim is describing a hood ornament, not a member of the forum. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Not everyone thinks I'm handsome, but what the hell do they know?

Tim and Randy,
Everybody knows you're beautiful, "just ask a man who owns one" ...wait that's because you drive a Packard!

All I need to get the 'base' for the cormorant hood ornament. I then can put it back to be correct.

Mr. C,

Here's another for your archives.
