Thanks to Gerd for catching my mistake on page 6.

A couple of years ago John (snopack) provided the above shown photo. A plug-in charger is a stunning feature for a prewar car, not to mention the remote control unit to operate the radio.

I wonder why the wings had no connection to the doors for synchronous opening and closing.

That radio remote control for the rear seat is interesting. Has anyone seen or used one. Was wondering if it can override the front or is the remote totally locked out unless the front allows it.

Reason for asking is from what I see in most of the pre war radio schematics, the dash dials were connected to the firewall mounted electronics box mechanically via flexible speedometer type cables -- not wires. Was just wondering how they did both controls.

Sure, I've seen quite a few of those. It's called remote control not because it controls the radio in the front compartment if it has one, but because it's a separate radio with no connection to the front radio (except antenna), mounted inside the frame below the floorboards, and is controlled remotely from the arm rest. You can often spot these from outside the car - you see what appears to be a second battery box hanging below the floor but in reality it's the radio itself.
