I have an innate aversion to two wheeled dollies for towing purposes. That's how the big dent and the damaged chrome, blown tire, and 100ft of black marks on the highway happened to my '56 Patrician while it was being towed by a two wheeled dolly. On this particular incident, there were three pivot points involved, the ball hitch, the swivel on the dolly itself, and the un-lockable steering column of the Packard. Couple all of that with a driver who doesn't listen to me when I say to slow down and it's a recipe for disaster. When you're towing with a dolly you need to respect the dolly, otherwise it WILL bite you in the rear.

Finally got some painting done these past four days. Now I am totally exhausted and fed up with sanding. It has been very hot here 35 celsius (think thats 90 fahrenheit?) so work has been toresome. Even the dogs just lie around listlessly!

I am very happy to be where I am. My goal was to get all outstanding surfaces in paint. This included 4 doors, spat plates and fule flap. As usual my amateur paint technique did leave much to be desired. Some drips, lots of orange peel, so a lot of sanding and polishing left, but that is the way of the back yard mechanic, or in this case spray painter/panel beater.

I also fixed the situation on the rear panel and at last found a fual cap.

Now is left:

- fitting doors
- fitting door innards (not lookin forward to this!!!)
- fitting chrome parts
- redoing interior

British Racing Green, nice color! You gonna put a roundel with a number on the door and do some rally racing?

I really like it though, just giving you a rough time!

Barrie,

To mangle a quote "And so yea shall reap what thou have sowen", or in other words - after all the hard work you'll be well rewarded! I'm very impressed with the work you're doing.

Thanks guys! Your encouragement really means a lot even though my shoulders are still aching! HAHA!

Turbo - it is British, but not racing green - it is a Land Rover 4x4 green and almost black in the shade. Funny choice, but seems to suit the shape well.

Mal - pictures can hide the 'issues' well, but thanks for your kind words. I am actually very happy with my amateur paint job.
