Well I cant find a bracket for the clutch spring so going to have to make one. I have managed to get most of the repairs done to the rear where there was some rust. I plan to grit blast the floor this week and the fire wall. Dont think i will blast the rest of the shell but i will see. I have now got the shell on the trolly to move about.

With the optional and not very often seen heater fresh air supply duct on your car am curious if you have the standard offering of a dash mounted defroster/footwarmer and an underseat heater combination or did the original buyer spring for the Deluxe dash heater in place of the standard items.

The car is fitted with two heaters, one under the dash board fixed to the fire wall and the other heather is bolted under the seat, pretty sure its a standard heater and not the deluxe. I did take both heater matrix outand send them for pressure test, both pasted ok. Thanks Howard

Well had a good day today, managed to sand down the body and get it sealed with several coats of primer. Nest stage to sort out any minor dents.

I just took notice of your body serial or theft-proof number, it's right smack in the middle of the 1941 car production. I also see the small Briggs tag, can you reveal that number?

I think the question of when Packard went to Briggs for their bodies has been settled, but notice the Briggs body tag on this 1941 Clipper. This would tell me that Packard went to Briggs in 1940 for the production of their Clippers. Any traditional bodied 1940-41 Packards with Briggs tags out there? JWL

Well I collected the chassis fro the Exhaust Engineers, they have made a nice job of the exhaust, they also put in a flexi joint for engine movement. The silencer is the same size as the original. I have also got the Radiator frame fitted and the frame supports, I have also fitted the radiator. I have also painted the front of the fire wall in satin black, I have decided to paint the whole engine bay out in black, the reason for this, is so that should the car ever be resprayed a different colour the engine bay wont look out of place in black.
