I remember this car from the 70's. I believe it was the tow car used by Kenny Price from Maize Kansas. One time I was asked to steer a 1947 Custom Super Clipper for a couple hundred miles while on a Packard tour to Wesley Sylvester's place. Headliner was on my head the whole time. Oh those good memories.

1936 and 1937 120's Are what we like best. But we also like all other Packards too.

Has been a NM car all its life. JW, didn't you say that your father was the packard dealer in Santa Fe?

Yes he was from 1929 - 1953. First with an authorized Service Station and shortly after with a sales and service franchise. I notice the Eight displays an old New Mexico brake and light inspection sticker. These have not been used in decades. It would be interesting to see where the car was inspected for the B&L sticker. Inspectors filled in info on back side. He may have sold the car originally, or serviced it. Too bad the '38s used a decal instead of a metal patent plate. Best guess is the decal info is long gone. Price is about 10x too much.

Hi

This '55 Clipper Custom Constellation was a restoration project by our now late region member. He worked for Winross Restorations in the 1980's, was a skilled craftsman.

As you can see, he did a first-class job which now needs finishing. Completing his fine work would be a worthwhile effort, arriving at a pretty fine Packard.

Steve:

That '55 Clipper is a terrific car at a terrific price. It will be a real beauty when it hits the road.

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...

I agree on that '55 Clipper. Sad it was not finished and the owner passed away. Someone will pick it up and have an incredible car.
