Can someone confirm this story about a 33 club sedan being rebodied with a 32 body? Is it legit or kinda a mongrel?

I would wonder how many "mongrel" cars might have been done back in the day. The depression era service letters have several bodies wanted or for sale pieces. Here are some of them in no particular order. I would imagine as long as a body would fit a chassis it might not matter as much if the year combination was incorrect as long as the customer was happy.

I've known that '46 Custom Super Clipper in North Arlington New Jersey for many years, until recently seeing it occasionally at local events. Unless something has happened recently, it's actually a far nicer car that the photograph shows. It's probably been in storage for the last 10 years or so as the prior owner (long time PAC member) developed health problems and then passed away but when I last saw the car, it was a very impressive, outstanding car.

If you're looking for a Custom Super Clipper in this color and in this price range, you should put it on your list and at the least ask for some better photographs.
