When doing the 54 and prior years I found lots of issues where both online and published resources conflicted with one another. Weights and prices were the most common to not agree with one another. I have even seen Packard documentation that had several different weights listed for the same model. I guess it depends who weighted it that day with what accessories installed.

Yes. But again one has to look at the percentage of variations. If the variations are all within 5% of each other then i would consider all them accurate statistics. Especialy when dealing with populations of at least 30 units or more. Corporate world deals in percentages. There is no way to account every nut, bolt cotter pin nor even weights and total units built to a 0% level of error. No more than we can account for every gallon of water we use in our houshold on a monthly or even daily basis. A small percentage of error is real world fact of life on large volumn.
