Quite a regular

I removed right side manifold to change gaskets but it is also broken.

Is this common issue with these engines?

I changed the freeze plugs today. old ones were pretty bad shape.

part type: Dorma 555-036

Those core plugs must have been a serious challenge to do while still under the hood? I shudder to think.
The small number of exhaust manifolds that I have handled seemed to be pretty high grade cast iron, surprised to see your looking so rough...
I had one on ebay for more than a year, it was perfect. Finally knocked it down to like $29 to get rid of it.Don't let someone bone ya like $100...

It can be done. I removed lower control arm, steering idle arm and exhaust manifold/pipe.

I paid almost 100$ but in here(europe) its cheap.

It's winter and time to repair broken things.

The most urgent repairs:

1. Front freezeplugs
2. Engine mounts
3. Inaccurate steering
4. Missing reverse gear

The front bumper is also damaged, so I thought it would be easy to remove it for repair. I also removed the front fender.

Found first rust hole and that odd, small waterleak. I thought that head gasket was leaking :) :)
