packard pickup?

That wild looking paint job is on a Ruxton. They were front wheel drive autos, and as such were built much lower than their rear drive counterparts. The Ruxtons were painted in these horizontal stripes to accentuate the lowness of the car, and were shown around the country at various shows. I believe on the show cars had the stripes. They were in several color themes, blue, brown, etc. The Ruxtons were short-lived, lasting only a couple of years. We had one on display at the Blackhawk Museum, neat looking car.

I always wanted one of those pre-war Packard shop truck conversions. I love the looks of the pre-war hood and grille on a truck.

The PAC 115C roster keeper, who lives in Whistler,BC, has a '37 Six converted into a pickup. I don't think this one is his as it is a 120 model. Very nice looking conversion.

That pickup is BEAUTIFUL! I've only ever seen the 50's 'Packups' before this.

everybody was excited to see a Packard
and the cops were extra excited to see raw flames

the choke got stuck open in the middle of the parkin lot

no big deal, couple old timers pushed the car out the way

and then some real old old timers grabbed my tools and gave me a top notch tune up. shes runnin better than ever

You just gotta love the old time rodders. Its a personal challenge to them when they see a car that needs wrenching.

Glad you got it up and going again. I am glad that you represent Packard at these Rod cruises.

Packard back in the shop -

she chewed up the drive shaft last nite ... and spit it out on Gower

currently flatbeddin down to Inglewood for new U joint, and some other stuff
keepin my mechanics kids fed!
