Jason,

Thanks for taking the time to give us your valuable feedback. I did not realize that the ball bearing CE generators were such rare items. I agree with your statements.

i have my list and price together from Jason and will be ordering soon what i need for the generator and starter rebuilds.

in the mean time, i've been working on this arcade machine with inspiration from BigKev. who i'm sure i have annoyed the hell out of with my questions via yahoo. sorry.

its not finished yet, i have to reconfigure the control panel and i have parts on the way, suprisingly they are very cheap parts. like 2 bucks for a button. nice!

i'm running a 26" sharp HD tv as a monitor (the one from my garage) on an athlon xp old computer i had in pieces in my parts bins. so i can watch TV or play games. i also opted for my retro solid state radioshack sta-84 amp in the top for the marque. it lights up blue and it is running 4 speakers inside the bottom of the cab. 2x 8" woofer desktop speakers and 2x mini satellite speakers for highs. its very boomy and nice. and i can open the marque sign and adjust the volume on the fly.

also i can listen to the radio if i want.

and don't be silly, i'm using my wifes 22" monitor/tv in the garage now and gave her a 20" regular monitor...MUHAHAHAHAHH! gosta have my rangers in the garage!

Hank

order has been sent to Jason and will report when that is completed.

here is another shot of my arcade and the back to the future clock/radio i got super cheap on ebay. i don't think they knew it was the same clock from the movie, cause others on there mentioning it in the auction were 150 or more. i got this way way way way way less then that. the second pic of the clock is a screen cap from the movie itself.

clock works great...now if i could just get it to wake me up at 10:28 playing "back in time"!!

imagine the part where the football teams are, in black. i painted it since this pic. i cut that panel overlay out of a poster for 7 bucks and glued it down and used the original plex on top. added buttons and whola.

i'll get back to the car soon i promise.

Henry, great buy on the clock radio. Have you thought about getting a DeLorean? Take care, man and best to your family.

no parts from Jason, yet.

had to buy new brakes for my truck...shacky shacky when brakey=no good.

got these earings from ebay for 10 bucks for my wife. they are nice and she likes them.

going by a hotrod shop near my house today to get estimates on body/paint/interior work. just for giggles....well really not...been having pretty bad heart issues lately. had to reprogram the ole ICD device and went on beta blockers. (they seem to be helping) i've been having episodes of 30min-1hour, which is not common for me.

so with the feeling of the likely pending death at age 40 or so....i've been contemplating just using the CC to pay for the rest of the car and paying it down every month and when my wife finishes school and gets a job...paying it off.

thinking about taking it here, since all the national chains wont touch a car that old.

http://www.txhouseofhotrods.com/

the other contemplation, was finding one to drive now...preferably a 1937 coupe, under 10k needing minimal work. not perfect, but decent and drivable for me and the family to enjoy.

link to earings on ebay. no affiliation.

That panasonic alarm clock has the most annoying alarm setting ever. It sounded like an evil moan. I have horrible memories of it and it scarred me as a child.

I am sorry to hear of your health problems. I've been dealing with some recent diabetes related problems and its a whole bunch of no fun.

Hang in there.

Hang in there Henry.
I've been dealing with cardiac issues for 45 years.
I recently found out that some of my issues such as arrhythmia were caused by food allergies. When I avoid soy products I feel great! Your work is an inspiration to all of us! Now I know that I can do it too. :)

oh it is supposed to make that noise? i thought it was broke...dang that is annoying! cool radio though, i feel like marty mcfly.

i'm sure i'll live to 100 and the minute i don't get my car done..i'll live to 32. murphy's law right? i'm kidding. i doubt i'll do anything big ticket to the car right now. the beta blockers seem to be helping.

i'll keep the food thing in mind...watch what i'm eating and drinking and take note of when i have the heart issues.

i hope you get the diabetes under control Portland!

thanks for the advice!

Hank
