Does anyone have or know where I can get a J6065-1 Torsion Level Suspension Holding tool for my 400?

Keith, I'd be interested in that drum puller, I used to have one just like it and sold it when I bought my '56 thinking "I'll never need it again!". Guess what, now I have the '37 chassis and need one!

I recall that back in the late 70's early 80's that Kanter used to rent the torsion bar tool (with a refundable core deposit)...have no idea if they still do, liability issues may have nixed this practice.

Hotrod,

You can make one. I posted the Packard blueprints for J-6065 quite some time ago. I made mine and have used it many times.

Most excellent Jerry. Can I impose upon you to post the blueprints individually so that the details can be more clearly seen? If the forum isn't capable of this I can suggest some free photo hosting sites which will avoid hogging bandwidth from here. Thanks, Anthony

I've often wondered if such a tool could be made from a derelect front load arm.

Jerry,

If you email the hi-res scans of the tool blueporints, then I will convert them into a PDF and post them.

Thanks Jerry & Kev. The first row of jpg or more importantly, 6065-1 appears to be missing from the PDF.
