Grubbs...Sorry about Hijacking your thread.

I found this on McMaster-Carr, does it look appropriate?

My 1939 110 4dr. has the original rear compartment mat in it. I'm attaching a couple of pictures [hopefully] that may help. The material is a heavy layered press board/tar with a leather grain surface. This car has always been in my family and I believe this to be original.

John - your photos are very helpful. I can use them in making a pattern for the floor of the trunk. Wish we had met when I had my 39 in Tyler about 10 years ago. I took it to Terry Weiss when I was so frustrated with the car. Terry had it running like a top in three days. That included overhauling the brake system and the leaking rear end. I've since moved to Montana, but I would sure like to get him up here!

Terry is great, he did my brakes and put in a new wiring harness, he is a wonderful asset for the Packard community.

Hi David,

When I purchased my running board mat from a vendor that has posted another site the box came to me right from the manufacturer/supply house. I did some searching and found I could have purchased it right from the a supply house for a fraction of the cost the vendor had sold it to me. Now I do my home work before sending checks to vendors because one can find it cheaper elsewhere.

I think this is the place that was on the boxes label. I can double check it when I get home tonight from work if you like. http://www.rubbercal.com/Corrugated_Composite_Rib.html

I purchased some sheet rubber for my '50 (C.I. 1/16" x 10" x 5' 65-75 durometer) from Rubber-Cal to replace the slotted flaps surrounding the shock absorber arms and had a very good experience. Price was reasonable and the product still looks like new 6 years later. I can recommend them.

Found some roll rubber at Shiptons Big R, the local farm and ranch store, today for $69.99 for a 96"x40"x.25" roll. It is ribbed on the top, and has raised dimples (partial hemispheres) on the bottom. I'll post some photos later this evening. Thanks all
