If any of you have any of these stainless belt trim clips laying around after a restoration or whatever, I could sure use them. Between the delay in taking off the trim and having it painted I have many clips missing. 41 to be exact!

Have you checked Restoration Specialties Catalog to see if they have anything close in the old style wire clips they carry? You can download their catalog and print out the clip pages in actual size to compare with your originals.http://www.restorationspecialties.com If nothing close is found possibly a universal would substitute.

I am trying to remember but think it was poster dallas who had a supply of clips and may still have some. I bought some for the 47 a couple of years ago and those may fit 41 too. If I could find his info I would suggest sending him a PM. Perhaps someone else has mastered how to find an individual posters profile info without finding an old post and can provide a link.

These clips apparently are not made anymore. I tried Au-Ve-Co which has a very large catalog of clips and they no longer have them. They are a distributor for several clip manufacturers. Thanks for the reply.

As Howard suggested, try Restoration Specialties. Wire Moulding Clips (p 92 in my book which is 10 years old).

I have 2047J for belt moulding for my '40, if they still have it.But I realize the '41, '42 belt moulding is different. It does look wider than the '40, no striations, and rounder, at least in a picture.

Since there are few measurements, you can print out the RS page (do Not use "fit to page" in the print dialog box, use print Actual Size) and set one of your used ones against the picture.

I was able to save 25 or so, but the rest were either broken or missing.

A photo with specs might help!
