I have a 282 out of my '37 Sport Coupe. It is not the original. I replaced it with another NOS 282. My old lifters don't fit the NOS block. The old lifters are 5/8th in diameter and the NOS block has 1" holes fro the lifters. I haven't found anything on engine model numbers here so I'm probably asking a repeat question.
Part two would be is the cam shaft the same in both engines?
Part three is there anything else that will not fit?

Usual cause of that error is when posting a photo something in the title looks like it wants to hijack the post. Check the title of the photo for any numbers -- usually in a time or date -- separated by dots instead of dashes. 00.00.00 will give the error but 00-00-00 should be OK. If you find something like that change the title or edit the number-dot sequence out.

The casting date is a series of numbers in the block usually on the side. Here is one typical example of a location and other inline engines are similar. Depending on engine the numbers will be low just above the oil pan on either side and either at front or rear.
