Re the curved glass replacement lenses that a clock shop may have, (same lens for clock and speedo) don't forget that the numbers are painted on the inside of the glass and it might take some doing to replicate the exact pattern for a specific car/year. Chris.

Some of the 1937 units actually have two layers of glass with numbers painted in inner, flat glass.

Perhaps I am missing something here on this thread, but the 37 and 39 units are very different. Replacing glass is only part of the overall effort if you want a 37 unit.
