Got the front masked off and a couple of coats on the dash. Followed BigKev and used Dark Walnut.

Also, I am not sure what these are called. Just inside the front door hinge. I removed these as well and painted them but there looked to be padding behind them? Is this something our good friends Steel Rubber would carry? Thoughts on what it is called so I can track them down?

Dash Ends or Windlace retainers. The hold the windlace in place where it comes up besides the dash. Steele reproduces the rubber piece that goes underneath it. I think they call them dash anti rattlers.

I just checked, I don't have any more gas pedals left in the horde of Steele Rubber I had.

Thanks for checking BK. Just confirmed with Steelrubber and you were correct. It is an Dashboard Anti-Rattle. SR Part# - 30-0025-20. Got my Accelerator pedal packaged up and should have both in about 2 weeks.

Today I got the final coat on the dash, painted steering column, defrost deflectors, door panel caps and cleaned and prepped the toe board.

Started the wiring behind the dash.

Question: the horn relay connection to the horn button. To get to the button I think I read to press the horn in and do a quarter turn to CCW. I tried this but no success. Is this correct?

On mine 1/8 of a turn will pop in loose. Push it all the way in first.

Finished up the wiring behind the dash except the lighting. Had to order a new lamp switch.

Was able to get the horn button off! Thanks BK and Bob!

Snaked the nee wire down the steering column.

How does the wire connect to the horn button? It looked like just a crimp with ALOT of gunk there when I cleaned it out.

Started soaking the hand throttle today. Will try and get it working tomorrow.

Great! Good job.
On mine that centre square area was where the wire was soldered on.

Ok. Wasn’t sure if it was soldered but makes sense.
Thanks Bob!
