No, unfortunately I don't. The 1954 system is completely different from the 1955-'56 system. "54 uses a rotary compressor, the manufacturer of which I do not know, even though Dwight Heinmuller told me last week!
I guess step one is to determine what brand of compressor you have.

Mr. Pushbutton -

Thanks - guess I'll stick with original plan and use a Sanden unit. I'm not adverse to upgrading a system if the original is problematic.

I'm currently setting up another mock-up engine in the basement to model the GM-Harrison cylindrical compressor.

Does anyone know of one that has been successfuly adapted to the Packard V8???? Looks to me like there will be at least stock air cleaner interference.

FWIW, the old HVAC guys I know say the Lehigh compressor was one of the best ever built and designed to run 24/7 in commercial applications. One of the reasons no one else used it was it is large and expensive. If the car is to be judged as a restoration, it would be the way to go. I have one which looks very good.

thnx, jv.

If you look in my project blog at the pictures I posted from my visit to Dan Yocum's place, you will notice that one of the 56 Clippers has an entire A/C setup still in place. So you may want to contact him to see how much he wants for it.

Also in one of the picture someone has mounted a fan blower directly on the firewall on the drivers side. Very unusual.

I've never tried it but T'Pacman has indicated that an ADDITIONAL power steering pulley will work. Apparently they can be nested one upon the other.
