Which Packard museum in Ohio?

So, while driving across the country this summer, I want to stop at a Packard museum. My thoughts are America's Packard Museum in Dayton, or the National Packard Museum in Warren. I only have time to stop at one, and I'm thinking the latter.

Any thoughts?

The Packard museum in Dayton is an old Packard dealership building and privately owned. They have a nice collection and it is worth the stop. The museum in Warren tells the history of Packard better but has less cars on display. If I had to choose, I'd go to Dayton. The art deco building is worth your time alone...

I agree with the stop at Dayton. I stopped at Warren this spring and was underwhelmed.

Dayton gets my vote as well. Very neat place. Make sure to see both buildings.

I'm sayin Dayton too. Ok, so they're friends of mine, but you're hearing right regarding cars and the building. Don't miss the offices in both buildings, some of the side displays of dealer equipment, some bitchin parts here n there, and even a couple concept models from 34-35.

I'd have to agree with the above. I'd like to add the fact that Matt Short has just signed on to be the museum's new executive director (formerly with the ACD Museum in Auburn, Indiana), and you can expect great things to happen within the next few years.
Will you be driving your Packard? Let me know when you'll be in town.

have a list of Packard needs - the Dayton "dealership" has a parts department. I've found the conversations with the folks in Dayton add to the visit.

Excellent! Thanks for all the info guys. I won't be driving my Packard, but I will have it on a trailer making its way across the country, so if anyone is in the locale and wants to chat, we'll be there in Dayton about 1 or so on Saturday, August 20th.
