Funny thought, what if this bird's boss bought the head from the guy in Vernon Ct? Too funny if he did.

Rusty, after reading the previous thread I had the same thought.

HCGarage, call me idiot but do us the favor to upload a picture that shows the mentioned original box (and accompanying documents). I'm one of those guys that is more attracted to things when I see them on pictures.

Here are a few photos of the box. I'm getting final confirmation from my boss on the asking price.

Here is an article on the Edmunds company from a 1952 Popular Mechanics magazine.

http://books.google.ca/books?id=jNwDAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA120&lpg=PA120&dq=eddie+edmunds++heads&source=bl&ots=iKasbAXrhe&sig=d3kLQYxwIKyUojZeVgU9vZprEAg&hl=en&ei=HVZ4Tc2aFITWtQPBnbCDAw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CBQQ6AEwADgK#v=onepage&q=eddie%20edmunds%20%20heads&f=false

It includes a shot of a mechanic installing an aluminum head on a Packard.

He had quite a big operation, with 50 men employed in manufacturing and installing speed equipment.
.................................

The box in the pic above carries an address in Kansas so evidently this is not the head that came from Vermont.
