V8 battery

I just tried the fit of a group 31 battery in the V8 case. It is a tad short, but fits in the case nicely and is not too tall. There are a couple of variations of terminals on this battery. The 31-A has the correct posts. The drawback is that the posts are centered in the battery not diagonally opposite. This is a heavy duty truck battery.

Go to Wal-Mart and get the biggest one that will fit.

Name it "Willard"

Old topic on the V8 batteries. Also pictured is the Die-Hard battery that perfectly fit the hold down in my car. Remove the stickers from it, and it looks very period correct.
