There's a 48 Limo on ebay. Drivers side open like regular doors. The passenger side, the rear door opens suicide. I'm relatively new to Packards, but that seems odd.

If it won't move, get a bigger wrench.
If it breaks, it needed fixing anyway.

Says it was specially built for a funeral home and also used as an ambulance. I think the suicide doors open wider than the front hinged. Not sure if they mean ambulance as with a stretcher since there doesn't appear to be room for anything conventional. If so, could make make it easier to get something in. Also believe it might be easier for normal ambulatory people to exit the seats in dignity.

It is different. Would make you wonder, if it was used as an ambulance, where did the rear seat come from?

Good question. Most likely it was built as a limo. For use as an ambulance, maybe it removes completely or folds down somehow. If custom made, then lots of possibilities. Could also mean ambulance is a stretch & they just transported patients who could sit up.
