The History Channel program "The Men Who Built America" also devoted some time in the Henry Ford episode relating some of the story behind his legal showdown with the A.L.A.M.

Not a bad series if you get a chance to watch it--but I'm sure glad things have changed since then.

Henry Ford offerd Ford owners a $50 indeminity against patent infringement in case he lost the suit.

A gentleman in these parts clips old ads from magazines, mats them and sells them at car shows. I have a page with an ALAM warning against purchasing unlicensed ( ie Ford) cars, with an ad from Ford offering to protect his owners on the same page
