Wanted: 1955 Packard Caribbean Parts
need hood and 2 x 4bb; intake, carbs and batwing aircleaner setup, pls pm me on price and condition,

Just for the good of the order, I recently built up a show-quality intake system.

1. Intake manifold purchased, shotblasted and powdercoated - $1000

2. Two standard Rochester 4GC carbs purchased and rebuilt by Daytona Carburetor - $1000 (Couldn't find correct 2x4 carbs anywhere at any price.)

3. Air cleaner purchased, sandblasted, rusty places welded and ground smooth, painted - $1000.

4. Linkage and lines fabricated - $250

Total cost - $3250.

If there are any correct systems out there for less, buy 'em.

(And yes, all of us who've been around for a long while will be remembering those complete systems you passed up for $250 or sold for $500.)

Jack, I think you did very well for buying these parts and putting them together in show condition for this price, I commend you and this pricing model helps me out greatly! I got into 55's and 56's too late to ever find these earlier prices!!!! take care

Each of the last 4-5 years at Hershey there have been both 55 and 56 (the carbs are different, as they also are front to rear) complete Caribbean dual carb setups with carbs by Daytona. Asking prices were in the $4500 - $5000 range. Even an air filter in poor condition easily gets over $1000 these days.

Have you tried any of the Packard vendors, to see what they have?

Are you building a convertable from scratch? Or are you building a 55 400/Caribbean hardtop?

I wonder if you could make a 55 hood?

i plan to restore a 55 caribbean with missing parts, I have inquirees into the major vendors also, thanks
