Neither the clock nor the radio on my " new " '52 Packard 300 function. Are they generally reparable by local auto radio repair folks or do I need to hunt for replacements?

All are repairable. Clock may just need a good cleaning, oiling, and the contacts dressed.

Several have removed, cleaned and lubed the clocks with success. Some photos and blogs of the procedures have been posted but unfortunately, not in any one spot. You will have to do a search. Otherwise, there are some who advertise in Hemmings.

As to the radio, most modern places might not be familiar enough with the old units or have ready access to anything needed. While you may find an old time radio guy locally who is willing to work on them, it might be safer to send to someone who specializes. This posthttps://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?post_id=104442#forumpost104442 has the information on someone who has done several for our posters and comes recommended.
