RichK, JD's photo shows a typical tube installation. The hole size should allow for the tube to be lightly press fit in the manifold (or in your case the plugs in the manifold). You can determine the size of the tube needed to accept the tubing from the manifold tube to the carb choke housing. Probably a 3/8" tubing for the manifold and 5/16" tubing to fit in the manifold tube and go from there to the carb. And don't forget about the heat control valve.

If you are not a stickler for an authentic look, just clamp a length of tubing to the outside of the manifold. Easily done and will serve the same purpose.
