You need the proper drum puller. Do a search here on the forum, it's been discussed about 200 times and is one of the most common questions asked.

Here is one for sale at Sears.

Look around you may be able to find them cheaper. Basically you are looking for a "Tapered Axle Hub Puller". It needs to attach via the lug bolts.

Nice tool, will order one.

Note my 1927 Chevy requires hub puller also. When I first discovered that a few years ago an old timer told me I did not need one. He told me to loosen the nut on the axel and drive around in tight circles for a few minutes and the hub would come loose. for sure it did.

Packard people have been known to resort to the driving trick as well. Packard hubs seem to be of two varieties. Some will pop off with the first twist of the bolt and others require hammers, choice language and a day or two of fighting and frustration. Just be sure to loosen the nut a few turns but leave nut and washer on the axle. When those difficult ones finally break free, without something to stop them they can fly across the room.
